“I map infinitely intricate worlds of (autistic) consciousness…”

As a multidisciplinary artist, I explore processes of neurodivergent sensemaking.

As a child I received a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and immigrated from Sardinia to England, UK.

My mother told me that my brain "fails to maintain (synaptic) bridges," initiating a lifelong interest in invisible forms of disabled processing and communication.

I call my projects "pathways", which, similar to how neurons work in the brain often connect and disconnect from one another.

I use drawing, video, embroidery, costume, sound, and performance to challenge the pathologizing of common traits and characteristics of neurodivergent people. Reframing: embodied self-stimulatory behaviour (stimming), hyperfixation (‘monotropic’ attention tunnels), echolalia (verbalising sounds) etc. as tools for exploring relational/processual metaphysics, vibration, duration, and repetition.

PATHWAYS:

Although, I am not currently represented by a gallery, my art works are listed by Platform-A Gallery under Associate Artist.

I have exhibited my work nationally, with some of my work now held in private collections, and continually exploring new project opportunities.
