Divergent Doodlers was an Arts Council England funded project (2026) which explored the hierarchy of doodling, and ‘Monotropism’ - a neuro affirming theory on autistic attention.

The project consisted of a series of five workshops with neurodivergent adults, the creation of an art zine, and two artworks presented in a public exhibition, two online blogs (Shape Arts), as well as one-off event of a panel discussion symposium with collaborating artists.

Collaborators in the project included neurodivergent artists Stuart Mel Wilson, Helen Shaddock and Victoria Gray.

Partners included Recovery College Collective, Orbis Community, Shape Arts, Inspired Support, and High Bridge Works (Newcastle Contemporary Art).
